A traditional craft from a small town called Warangal in the southern state of Telangana, the Kalamkari hand block printed dhurrie is very popular in homes today. They are printed on cotton rugs using intricately carved wooden blocks dipped in coloured dye. The colours used are normally maroon, green, black and shades of blue in the authentic hand work technique.
